"The Haunted Alley!"

As I walk out the door into the dark night I hear a scream. An ear piercing scream, it’s coming from right around the corner! I flip out; I am going to be late to the movies.
(I was supposed to meet my friends there!) I run into the house and lock the doors; my sister comes running down the stairs, “What was that?” She says.
“I don’t know I was standing outside next to the alley when I heard it!” I said.
“What are you talking about? I meant why did you lock the doors?” She said. By this time I am freaking out! If I leave to meet my friends whatever it is will get me. If I don’t leave I’ll be late and I’ll have to explain what I heard to my sister. So, I ask my sister to give me a ride and of course she says yes, she loves to drive. I get there and my sister says “Don’t expect a ride home!” Oh no! I forgot about that if I walk home it will be really late and who knows what is out there! I ask my friend for a ride, “Uhhh, well I have to hitch a ride with my brother and his car only has 2 seats!” she said.
I ask my other friend, “Well my mom said she doesn’t want to drive out that way tonight but you can sleepover!” That’s not even an option because I have soccer tomorrow at 8:00 am and I have to be in bed by 11:00.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! That movie was so scary I had to leave half way through because I was walking home and getting scared while already being scared is the worst ever! I get half-way down the block and hear another ear piercing scream and a vibration on my…” under side!” Phew! It was just my phone in my back pocket I answer, “Hello?” “Where are you?” It’s my sister I say, “I’m walking home, about 2 blocks away!” “Well hurry up I keep hearing a screaming noise outside!” Shoot that means whatever it is, isn’t gone yet! I am a block away from the alley when I see 3 dark shadows run across the street along with 3 different sounding screams! Oh-no! This “Thing” is getting people and I am going to be next! Wait that’s it! “Going to be NEXT!”
Now that I know I run across the street, get home, and tell my sister what the screaming is. Every week this group of people called the freaks get together and pick a freaky movie. This week the movie was called “Going to be Next!” The cool thing about these movies though is that the project them in dark and creepy alleys. This week it was the alley next to my house! Now I get why people were yelling and screaming! Finally I finish telling my sister and start laughing! She thinks I’m a freak of course and goes to bed! I decide that next week I’ll go to watch the movie in the alley, whatever it is!
Laying in the grass

As I’m laying in the grass,
I start to think about the past,
We all grow up so fast!
I imagine someone pulling a big red trigger,
So I stopped watching Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.
From eating birthday cakes with my hands,
To drinking root beer out of brown cans.
We all grow up so fast!
Boys stopped playing in the mud and dirt,
While girls began to wear make-up and flirt.
From changed diapers day to day,
To auditioning for the Middle school play.
We all grow up so fast!
Instead of parents reading our favorite bedtime fable,
Now were texting under the glass dinner table.
No more floral dresses, or pink bows in our hair,
Just shorts and a T-shirt, no one has a care,
Because we all grow up so fast!
That’s what I think about when laying in the grass.
